When comes the time to install new eavestroughs, it is important to assess your needs and determine the type of installation you will opt for. These elements will help you decide on the rain gutter model you wish to have installed. Sectional and seamless gutters constitute two interesting options.

Seamless rain gutters

Seamless gutters are created using an eavestrough machine and cut to the length required. Most professional installers already own this machine and fashion the rain gutters as they install them.

If you elect to have a specialist install your rain gutters rather than doing it yourself, it is very likely that your best option will be seamless gutters. Most eavestroughs installed on Canadian residences are made of aluminum and seamless. However, certain materials can only be found in sections.

Sectional eavestroughs

Sectional rain gutters are also available on the market. Hardware and other retail stores generally sell eavestroughs that are precut at a predetermined length. This will allow you to purchase the exact number of sections you need. In such a case, it is very likely that you will notice the joints between each section, especially on big wall panels.

Installing aluminum rain gutters on your own is generally the best way to go. However, certain materials, such as vinyl, are sold in sections only, regardless of who is going to be performing the installation.
